Hello, I’m Prue Murray-Ross. I’m a professionally trained AMUSF upholsterer, with a particular love of traditional upholstery. I trained with renowned artisan Stephen Franklin and have more than 12 years’ experience teaching upholstery in both France and the UK.

I now teach from my home studio in the beautiful Dorset village of Iwerne Minster, on the edge of the Blackmore Vale between Shaftesbury and Blandford Forum. My workshops are small, friendly and hands-on, covering both traditional and modern upholstery techniques in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Whether you’re completely new to upholstery or looking to develop your skills, my aim is to give you the confidence, knowledge and practical experience to enjoy bringing furniture back to life.
